SBTET AP Promotion of I Year Students to II Year as Per Recommendations of Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

I invite your kind attention to the subject and reference cited above wherein many of the representations have been received from the Principals of the institutions offering Diploma in Pharmacy and Head of Sections of Pharmacy, vide ref (2-4) with a request to implement the PCI guidelines to promote the students from the first year to the second year duly exempting the existing promotion guidelines in view of COVID – 19, vide ref (1).

In this connection it is to inform that, all the Principals of (Govt. /Aided/Private) Polytechnics offering Diploma in Pharmacy courses shall promote first-year students to second-year without considering the present promotion rules into the second year, ie. Irrespective of the number of subjects passed, in this academic year (2020-21 AY) as a special case in view of COVID-19.

Therefore, all the Principals concerned are hereby instructed to intimate the same to all the students of your institution.
